Job Description: Join a dynamic team of engaged and committed professionals on the Organizational Engagement and Support (OES) and Change Management team within Access and Eligibility Services (AES).
The Change Management Specialist position works in the OES and Change Management section of the Strategic Engagement and Employee Support (SEES) division. The OES and Change Management Team is dedicated to supporting AES team members through fostering an inclusive and innovative culture that values individual contributions and continuous improvement. The Change Management Specialist reports to the OES Director and performs moderately complex (journey-level) consultative and technical work.
Change Management focuses on the people side of change by providing support through significant periods of change. It is essential in supporting the AES mission by helping create appropriate conditions for employees to transition smoothly through changes by minimizing resistance and maximizing enthusiasm for adoption and usage. The team is responsible for helping team members work through changes that affect our division, such as changes in technology, processes, and organizational changes This is accomplished through utilizing change management strategies and internal communications to prepare, support, and equip employees to adopt change.
The ideal candidate will be able to build relationships and rapport that enable them to positively affect perspectives of change, recognize the importance of diversity in effective change management, and be dedicated to supporting AES team members and customers. This candidate should be open to creating unique solutions to challenges we may face and recognize that the quality of work we produce reflects our dedication to those we serve.
Under the guidance of the OES Director, the Change Management Specialist will support the team by assisting with the execution of change management workshops, gathering information from subject matter experts, drafting presentations on strategic initiatives, assisting with change readiness surveys, timeline management and other duties as needed.
This position will be required to attend meetings, workshops, and Change Management assignments in Austin, TX and other cities across the state. In addition, position requires a hybrid work schedule.

Essential Job Functions: Assists with the development of change management strategy based on a situational awareness of the details of the change and the groups being impacted by the change (20%)
Supports communication efforts through the development of deliverables incorporating facilitated meetings, workshops, and presentations that provide appropriate messaging and information to educate and prepare for organizational, process, and/or system changes (20%)
Contributes to the creation of actionable deliverables for the five change management levers: communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, resistance management plan (15%)
Coordinates efforts with other specialists to identify, share, and gather critical information for development of change management deliverables and best practices for change management within the organization (15%)
Collect and analyze data to measure the success of change initiatives (10%)
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure changes are implemented in a coordinated manner (10%)
Develop and maintain documentation and reporting systems to track changes (5%)
Assists with other duties as needed (5%)
