DFPS is seeking a project manager to fulfill a key role within the Information Technology Services Division. This position will perform work under the direction and guidance of the Director of Information Technology Initiatives. DFPS is initiating a planning effort for the next iteration of the agency’s case management system. This planning effort will require DFPS to develop a plan and roadmap outlining goals, objectives, financial impact and milestones. The agency must also assess and evaluate the readiness of information technology and program resources to achieve stated goals and objectives. The mission of DFPS is to protect children, the elderly, and people with disabilities from abuse, neglect, and exploitation by involving clients, families, and communities. This position will coordinate and manage logistics associated with multiple projects of the office associated with the case management system.. Work involves coordinating the planning and initiation of key information technology projects to support the agency’s goals and mandates, specifically the transformation of the agency’s case management system in alignment with the agency’s strategic plan; Work also involves monitoring the progress and schedule of projects; and communicating with project stakeholders, management, and other relevant parties. Performs research, analysis, project initiation, planning, development, and implementation activities for identified projects; securing leadership approvals; coordinating across agencies; and monitoring the progress and schedule of projects. May assign duties and responsibilities and coordinate the work of project staff. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Initial Selection Criteria: • Experience within the health and human services domain is preferred. Experience with a focus on SACWIS/CCWIS system implementations is highly desirable. • Prefer Project Management Professional certification.
